We partner and connect with members of our community, to meet the needs of our most vulnerable young people.
Filling In The Gaps was incorporated in October 2019. We work to improve the accessibility of basic needs of the most vulnerable young people within the community. Using generous donations from friends and family, we instantly set up an overflow lunch account, at a local first year elementary school in October 2019. This account is debited whenever any student is lacking lunch funds. In January 2020, we started an overflow lunch account for another elementary school with a 97% free/reduced lunch population. We shifted when the pandemic started, and began providing food assistance boxes to students upon a request. We continue to support under resourced families battling food insecurity.
While we continue to Feed The Need, Kari’s Kloset has launched its first Seasons Change Project.
The economy is really rough right now and being able to help economically disadvantaged students is our main focus. Your donations are used to purchase fresh and nonperishable food, clothing, personal hygiene products and other requested items for the young people we serve. We could not do this without you.
Thank You!
Filling In The Gaps works to level the living field, for our most vulnerable young people and their families by providing them with or connecting them to resources to meet their basic needs.
Whether you have a question, want to get involved, or simply want to say hello — we’re here for you.
